The history of Bosch represents more than a century of engineering excellence and pioneering innovations that have shaped the global automotive industry. In the field of windshield wiping systems, a momentous breakthrough occurred in 1926 when Bosch introduced the world's first electrically driven wiper blade system, establishing foundational standards for road visibility and active safety. Since then, the German engineering titan has continually redefined wiper technology, evolving simple rubber blades into aerodynamically optimized safety systems.
Another transformative milestone arrived in 1999 with the market launch of the revolutionary Bosch Aerotwin joint-free flat wiper, an innovation that fundamentally modernized automotive design and high-speed wiping performance. Today, Bosch is the undisputed leader in Original Equipment (OE), supplying assembly lines for premier vehicle manufacturers worldwide, including Volkswagen Group, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, and Stellantis.
Bosch Wiper Blades – Uncompromising Quality, Precision, and Road Safety
Bosch wiper blades stand as the most trusted and award-winning wiping solutions across Europe, consistently securing top honors in independent motoring tests conducted by ADAC, Auto Bild, and Auto Motor und Sport. At the heart of their superior performance lies Bosch's patented Power Protection Plus (PPP) coating—an innovative permanent polymer treatment that ensures whisper-quiet, judder-free wiping across both soaking wet and semi-dry windshields. Integrated custom-tensioned Evodium steel spring strips deliver tailor-made contact pressure across the entire curvature of the glass, preventing blade lift-off even at demanding autobahn speeds.
Engineering Excellence: Dual-Component Rubber and Evodium Rail
Bosch wiper blades utilize an advanced dual-component synthetic and natural rubber compound: an ultra-flexible rubber spine facilitates quiet, seamless reversing action, while an extra-hard micro-edge guarantees razor-sharp water dispersion without smearing or hazing. This proprietary formula exhibits outstanding resistance to UV degradation, aggressive environmental ozone, and extreme temperature fluctuations spanning from -30°C to +80°C.
